For centuries, Japan has used persimmon (kaki) to stay fresh, because its tannins do something almost no other ingredient can: they chemically bind to nonenal and neutralise it at the source — instead of just masking it with perfume.
We don't cut corners on this. Our persimmon extract is sourced from genuine Japanese farms and concentrated using traditional methods that keep the tannins potent. Most "persimmon" products on the market use a weak, watered-down extract that does very little.
