This is the part that matters most, so we'll start here.
For centuries, Japan has used persimmon (kaki) to stay fresh, because its tannins do something almost no other ingredient can: they chemically bind to nonenal and neutralise it at the source — instead of just masking it with perfume.
We don't cut corners on this. Our persimmon extract is sourced from genuine Japanese farms, harvested and concentrated using the traditional methods that keep the tannins potent. Many "persimmon" products on the market use weak, watered-down extract that does very little. Ours is the real thing — and you can feel the difference from the very first wash.
